Update March 31:

Thank you to all who provided feedback on the City's current (and future) communications practices - your input helped shape the City's first External Communications Strategy!

The Strategy was presented to the Corporate Services Committee on March 12, and approved by Council on March 23.

Check out the External Communications Strategy here!

Stay tuned as we work to share this Strategy more broadly and start implementing recommendations from the Strategy.

Any questions can always be directed to communications@owensound.ca

In today’s world, people get information in many different ways. From social media and email to in-person conversations and community events, communication is more complex than ever. At the same time, the City oversees a wide range of services and programs — everything from roads and recreation to water, waste, and public safety.

This new strategy will help us communicate more clearly, consistently, and accessibly — and ensure residents can connect with City staff and Council in ways that work best for them.

Your feedback will help shape how we share information, listen to community voices, and strengthen the two-way connection between the City and the people who live, work, and play here.
