What work will be done?

This project is focused on the replacement of aging infrastructure underneath the road, and will include replacing water and sewer pipes, along with sidewalks and the road.

Will trees be cut down in the process of completing this work?

At this time, no decisions have been made regarding the removal of trees in the area. The first step in this process is to consider the options being investigated and letting us know which one you think best suits the need of the area.

    How long will this take?

There is no projected timeline as we are in early stages of this project and the first step necessary to determining the timeframe is investigating the options and understanding the needs of the residents impacted by this work.

What are the options being investigated for this project?

    Option 1

    Same road as today

    • Keep on-street parking
    • No bike lanes
    • Least traffic calming
    • Road remains visually spacious

    Option 2

    Narrow Road & Shared Path

    • No on-street parking
    • One shared path for walking and biking
    • Narrower road may slow traffic
    • More trees may be removed

    Option 3

    New Road with Bike Lanes

    • No on-street parking
    • Bike lanes on road
    • Fewer trees may be removed
    • Bike lanes can be hard to clear in winter
